Week 4, Day 5 & 6

Day 27
Yoga X with the wife today.  This is still the hardest workout on the routine, and this weeks a rest week so we have to do it twice.  I'm not sure how that makes sense, other than I can see it's usefulness in all the rest of the workouts.  I made some banana-peach smoothies to reward ourselves for all the hard work.
I'm not sure what food will be like today.  I may make some roasted veggies, I may make a steak salad.  I'm not sure.  In either case, it should be okay.  Tomorrow is picture day.  That means I'm almost through 1/3 p90x!

Day 26
Missed updating yesterday I was buried in "Finals Review," even had to blow of a BBQ with a couple of dear friends.  Anyway, yesterday was Cardio X.  Was a good workout through and through.  Elevated heart rate and tough core exorcises.  Also, had to work in the morning, and my back was really sore from leaning over all day.
Food was kinda weird, I ate breakfast before work, then had a protein bar at my usual time (like 2hrs later), than a half hour later it was time for lunch, and lastly I had a few meatballs for dinner right after work (1.5 later).  Which left a protein bar for my fifth meal about 5.5-6hrs later.  Was kind of a disaster.

Week 4, Day 4

Day 25
Keep looking in the mirror asking "Am I thin yet?" and then sighing as I answer to myself "nope...not yet..."  However, I'm pressing on.  Today my wife and I did the "X Stretch" workout together.  It wasn't bad at all.  Naturally, I'm not nearly as flexible as the people in the video, and I can't do the shoulder plows (they are impossible), but I held my own and enjoyed a relaxing hour or so.
Food shouldn't be an issue today, just staying the course.

Week 4, Day 3

Day 24
It was Kempo today, I dogged it a little on the knee ups+back kicks, but I realized this about 3/4 of the way through and picked up the pace.  Was a decent workout, but I forgot to wear my heart monitor.
For breakfast I shrugged off half the omelet I made, I just wasn't as hungry as I thought I should be.  So I picked out most of the chicken and ate a few bites of the egg-whites, and that was about it.  We're out of protein bars, so I am going to substitute my snack with celery and peanut-butter.  Not sure what's for dinner, gonna have to wing it.

Weel 4, Day 2

Day 23
We're fast approaching Picture Day, and I'm kind of anxious to see the difference between the two.  Naturally when you are as overweight as I am, you will celebrate even the slightest of changes.  I have planned for three rotations of p90x, so my heart isn't set on the 90th day photo, but rather the 270th day photo.
Today was Core, and it was tough.  I kept up for the most part, except my max reps were far less then theirs were.  Nevertheless, it was a pretty focused workout, and I only skipped a few lunges here and there.  Oh, and I skipped the Dreya Roll and the three Bonus Exorcises.  To be fair I should mention those.
Food hasn't been bad at all today.  Steak omelet, couple protein bars, and a dry turkey sandwich on pumpernickel bread.  Not exactly sure what's for dinner...
On a side note, I am still really in need of a few heavier weights, and a great pair of shoes to exorcise in.  The one resistance band we have is too much for Core, and not enough for Shoulders and Arms.  But I'll figure it out sooner or later.

Week 4, Day 1

Day 22
Well it was Yoga today, the start of a new week.  It's the recovery week, and we're finally approaching the second round of photos.  Burned over 1000 calories this morning during Yoga, I have no idea how that even happened.  Made an "all berry" smoothie this morning too, that was great.
Here's the new schedule for this week.  There will be a new regiment after this week too, as we begin phase II.
   Day 1: Yoga
   Day 2: Core Synergystics
   Day 3: Kempo
   Day 4: X Stretch
   Day 5: Cardio
   Day 6: Yoga
Day 7: Rest or X Stretch
